CORE facilitated the publication of three papers sin 2023 and 2024. In publishing today there is often a fee required for publication. CORE assisted the surgeons and other researchers involved to publish the following three papers by funding the publication fee.
1. In the paper shown below, Dr Burns and colleagues were able to show that putting vancomysin (antibiotic) inside a joint replacement was safe.
2. In the paper shown below Dr Burns, Prof Smith and Dr Lynch report the follow-up study which showed a decreased incidence in infection after using vancomycin inside joint replacements.
3. In the paper below, led by Dr Burns, a new method of treating infection in hip replacement is described. This method has the benefit of allowing the patient to walk on their hip while waiting for the infection to clear.
